NZG since 1968
Since the founders Gerhard Schmid and Betty Hauer decided at the 01.10.1968 to set up the company NZG-Modelle, up to now far over 700 different models of several brands are developed, produced and delivered in over 80 countries. The first office was in Nuremberg, in the Tafelfeldstraße, at the third floor of a furniture company. There the first NZG-model, the Weserhuette HW70 with the art.-no. 101, was produced. After renting some more office rooms, among others in the Fürtherstraße, it came to the decision to move into the industrial estate of the Sigmundstraße, where the company is still located up to now. During the peak period more than 400,000 models a year were developed and produced here at a production area of about 3,000 square meters and were delivered all around the globe. Since 1986 the second generation, Inge Ludwig (née Schmid) and Hannelore Hauer, have joined the company. In the year 2000 all company proportions were transferred to the family Ludwig. Since then Inge and Michael Ludwig run the company. Today the name “NZG-Modelle” is worldwide known and is a guarantor for the production of detailed construction machine models, of several brands and with different functions, in the scales 1:25, 1:50, 1:87 as well as commercial vehicle models in the scale 1:43. Due to the special orientation of the company - to produce construction machine models and commercial vehicle models - the high demand of functionality and true to the detail can be guaranteed, which will rightfully be expected from true collectors. A range of a variety of models commenced with historical models, over excavator models, crane models, lifting platform models, wheel loader models, road construction models, van models, unimog models and bus models, hardly doesn`t let any single wish unconsidered. This large assortement will be added with diverse special edition models, limited edition models and equipments. And we are working constantly on the realisation of further model desires, which we often will be asked for. Additional promotion models are developed for customer orders, which will be produced with a minimum order of 300 pcs. But until a model is finished there is a lot to do.
